Converting a Google Slides presentation into a GIF with Matchbox Video for Google Slides™
The easiest way to convert a Google Slides presentation into a GIF
Matchbox Video for Google Slides™ is the easiest way to convert a Google Slides presentation into a GIF, right from inside the Google Slides editor. If you want to post your Google Slides presentation to Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn or Youtube, you can get it done fast with Matchbox Video, and here's how it works:
Click the Install button to start the addon installation process. You’ll be asked to grant Matchbox Video permission to access your presentation.
Once the installation is complete, you can click Done to close the popup.
Go to the presentation you want to convert into a GIF.
Click on the Extensions or Addons menu item, then click on the Matchbox Video menu item to open the menu. Click on the Create GIF menu item to get started.
The window that appears will show the number of slides and a count of words: for GIF no text to speech is needed. The Video Output Format option will be set to GIF. Please note that animations in the presentation will not be included in the video. Click Video Options to continue.
Enter the number of seconds you want each slide to appear in the GIF. Click Confirm Order to continue.
Confirm that the options are as expected. You will be shown the price: every new account automatically has 2 credits, which is enough for 2 GIFs. Click Pay with Account Credit to complete the process.
A confirmation message will be shown.
The presentation will be queued for conversion. For large presentations, the video conversion may take some time: a progress bar will be displayed, and an email will be sent once the video is ready. If you close the window, the conversion will still complete.
Once the conversion is complete, you can download the GIF immediately. The file will be available for download for 48 hours after the conversion is complete, after which it will be deleted from our systems.
